Our crews use export-grade materials, the same specification we use on our long-haul European work, with extra protection on anything heading down to a UK port-style pallet position on the lorry.

You can choose how much help you want. We can supply materials and let you pack yourself, share the work room by room, or run a full packing service where our team handles everything from kitchen china to wardrobe contents. Pictures, mirrors, glass tabletops and stone tops are crated where the survey flags them as at risk.

A packing inventory is produced as we go, so the same numbered cartons are checked off when they reach the UK address.

Customs and paperwork support

Since Brexit, Mijas to UK moves go through customs at both ends. Most household goods qualify for Transfer of Residence relief if you are returning to live in the UK, but the paperwork has to be completed correctly or HMRC will hold the load.

We prepare the inventory in the format UK customs expect, talk you through the ToR1 application before collection, and lodge the entries with our clearing agents on both sides. If you are moving as a non-resident, taking goods to a holiday let, or shipping to a UK address that is not your own home, the route is different and we will tell you what extra documents are needed before the lorry leaves Spain.

We will not start a job we cannot get cleared cleanly. If something looks off, we say so before collection rather than at the UK port.

Storage if your dates don’t line up

UK completions and Spanish sale dates rarely match. We hold your shipment in our own storage in either country, depending on which side the gap falls.

In Spain, the Almoradí depot has secure storage close to our weekly run, so we can keep your load there for a week, a month or longer and put it on the next available service when you are ready. In the UK, our climate-controlled units in Knaresborough range from 25 to 300 square feet, which covers everything from a few boxes to a four-bed house. Storage is invoiced separately on a monthly rolling basis, with no minimum term locked in.

If your move is split, for example part to UK delivery now and part into Spanish storage, we can do that on a single job rather than two.
