Office Removalsin Harrogate
A Harrogate office move only goes well when the trading day barely notices it happened. We have been running business relocations across HG1 to HG5 since 1976, and the pattern that works has not really changed, survey the site early, agree a fixed plan with one named coordinator, run the heavy lift outside trading hours, and have your team back at their desks the next morning with phones, screens and files where they expect them.
Our depot at Dale House on Forest Moor Road sits ten minutes off the A59, which means crews can be on Parliament Street, Cambridge Road or the Hornbeam Park business estates inside the hour. We work to the access reality of central Harrogate, narrow Victorian frontages, the loading windows around the Stray, the lift cycle times in the larger Cambridge Road blocks, and plan the move so loading bays, parking suspensions and stairwell protection are all in place before the first crate leaves your office.
Every office job runs through a single point of contact from quote through to unpack. You speak to one person, not a different voice every call. That coordinator owns the schedule, the crew brief, the inventory and the paperwork. including any waste transfer notes and insurance certificates your landlord asks for.

What we move
Office contents land in three buckets, and we handle each of them with the right method and the right packing.
Furniture – desks, pedestals, task chairs, meeting tables, breakout sofas, lockers, planters, whiteboards, framed prints. Heavy items go on sack barrows or piano skates with floor protection laid first. Anything bolted together gets dismantled by the crew, parts bagged and labelled to the desk it belongs to, and reassembled on arrival. Glass-topped tables, reception counters and bespoke joinery get export-grade blanket and corner protection before they leave the floor.
Files and confidential paper – Lever-arch files, archive boxes, personnel records, contracts, project files. We supply numbered crates with security seals so HR and finance content stays sealed in transit, then logged off against your floor plan at the new site. If your retention policy requires a chain of custody, we will document each crate by seal number on the inventory sheet and have your nominated person sign it off at both ends.
IT equipment – Desktops, monitors, docks, printers, servers, AV kit, comms cabinets. Each user’s kit goes into a labelled crate with their cables and peripherals — keyboard, mouse, headset, dongles — bagged together so plug-in is twenty seconds, not twenty minutes of cable hunting. Servers and rack-mounted kit are decommissioned, foam-padded and crated to manufacturer guidance, with anti-static wrapping where it is needed. We can coordinate directly with your IT provider or in-house team so power-down and power-up windows match what they have planned.
Anything that does not fit those buckets – a safe, a fridge, a server-room UPS, a piece of equipment on a service contract, gets flagged on the survey and quoted with the right kit and the right number of hands.
Planning your office move
Most Harrogate office moves we run follow the same five steps, scaled to size.
Survey and quote. We come to your office, walk the floor with you, and measure the volume against the access at both ends. The quote that follows is fixed price, what you see is what you pay, with packing, materials, vehicles, crews, mileage and any storage all itemised.
Plan and dates. Your coordinator builds a written move plan, what moves on which day, in which order, with which vehicle, by which crew. You see it in writing and sign it off. If you need a Saturday or out-of-hours window, that goes in here.
Pre-move. Crates are delivered the week before so your team can pack their own personal items if they want to. Anything we are packing for you, IT, archive, kitchen, comms cabinets, is scheduled in the day or evening before the lift.
Move day. Floor protection in first, then the lift in load order, then the unload sequenced by floor and zone at the new site so furniture is sited where the floor plan says it should be, not stacked in a corner for someone to sort out on Monday.
Settle-in. The coordinator stays on site for the unpack and walks the new floor with you to confirm everything has landed. Used crates and packing get collected back the following week so they are not cluttering the office on day one.
For larger relocations or office moves with phased dates, we can hold furniture or archive in our climate-controlled UK storage between the lift and the new site being ready. Units run from 25 to 300 sq ft and there is no charge to bring stock back out.

Packing and labelling service
Packing on an office move is where most jobs go wrong, and it is the bit clients most often ask us to take off their plate. We bring export-grade boxes, crates and protection, the same materials we use on long-distance international removals, not single-use cardboard that fails on the second handle.
Labelling is the work that makes unpacking quick. Every crate carries a colour-coded label keyed to your new floor plan — by department, by floor, by desk number — so the crew on the unload knows exactly which room it goes in without asking. Personnel files and finance content get sealed crates with numbered tags. AV and IT kit gets photographed in situ before it is unplugged, so the team putting it back in has a reference shot to work from.
If your team would rather pack their own desks, we drop the crates a few days early and brief them on labelling. If you want a full packing service, two of our trained crew can pack a typical 30-desk office in a day.
Get a quote for office removals in Harrogate
A useful quote starts with a site survey, we cannot price an office move properly off a phone call alone. Tell us the current address, the new address, your headcount and rough move date, and we will book a survey at a time that does not disrupt the working day. The written quote follows within forty-eight hours, fixed price, with every line itemised so finance can sign it off cleanly.
Our standing reviews currently sit at 4.9 out of 5 across 107 reviews, with 97% rated Excellent. We are a member of the British Association of Removers (member number D040), covered by the BAR Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme, and registered with the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman. Insurance certificates and method statements are available on request for landlord and managing agent sign-off.
